Genetic and Rare Diseases Information Center (GARD)

GARD provides multiple resources for individuals with rare diseases. There is a searchable database that will give easy to understand information on more than 6,500 conditions. If you can’t find the information you need within the database, you can contact one of GARD’s information specialists. These specialists can help answer questions, connect you with support organizations, and/or notify you of any ongoing research studies related to your rare disease. You can also browse some of their guides (ie. “Tips for the Undiagnosed”) that they have available after compiling common questions from rare disease patients, families, and caregivers.
